Women’s presence in the kitchen has only grown in recent decades. As restaurants become more inclusive, the rise of the female chef, it seems, knows no bounds. From such legends as Dominique Crenn to Alice Waters, Nancy Silverton, Rachel Ray and more, women are stepping up to the line and are helping to redefine cuisine and the culture of dining in new and intriguing ways.
As women continue to conquer the kitchen in record numbers, Chef Works designers have taken notice, and are working one-on-one with top chefs to develop clothing that’s specially tailored to the female form. From slimming darts, shortened hems, stylish collars, and specialty pockets, these just-for-her designs allow chefs to take on the line in style, without ever sacrificing durability.

THE CHELSEA
Similar to your favorite yoga gear, our Chelsea coat keeps you feeling cool, calm, and collected all through service. Slimmed down to flatter the feminine form, the Chelsea combines modern denim and lightweight stretch paneling to create a coat that moves with you. Equipped with additional lightweight stretch paneling on the sides, underarms and an additional back panel running from the collar to the bottom hem, this flexible short-sleeve jacket is made for overtime shifts and busy kitchens. Constructed with a snap front closure, curved hip pockets, dual sleeve pockets, a back snap to secure an apron, side slits, and reinforced for durability with double-needle stitching, the Chelsea is the ultimate jacket for the ultimate chef.
THE MARRAKESH
A new shape in our Executive Coat V-Series, our senior designer drew heavily on a recent trip to Sonora, where in-between bites of traditional fare, he spotted one of the chefs and was immediately drawn to her uniquely designed jacket that featured an intricate collar. The ultimate feminine jacket was born, with a flattering crossover collar, tapered waist, flared hip opening with flexible side-slits. Single-breasted and long sleeve, the Marrakesh includes figure-enhancing darts, cooling stretch panels on the back and underarms, and multiple pockets located across the body and sleeve. A favorite of superstar chefs including Ivana Raca, and Ginger Niles, this coat redefines the stereotypical chef coat into something decidedly more fitting and tailored, especially for her.
THE ROXBY
Reimagined for the feminine shape, this coat was created in homage to some of our favorite chefs. Inspired by the likes of Carla Hall and Stacey Poon-Kinney, the Roxby is a slimmed down, curve-hugging classic, offered in a crisp white or classic black. Constructed with a concealed snap front, this short-sleeve jacket offers a poly-blend side and back panel, along with added side slits for increased flexibility and breathability. Front hip pockets hold just about anything, and a left sleeve pocket keeps your jacket looking tailored and professional, with a back snap keeping your apron firmly in place, long after service wraps.
